Louise from JBD London who has supplied vintage jewellery to Kate Moss and other celebrities, stylists, jewellery designers and tv personalities will be selling at the Wanstead Vintage Fashion & Brocante Fair on 3 December 2011.  We are very excited to have Louise, who in the past has worked for the House of Chanel and has enjoyed a love affair with vintage jewellery for many years, selling high end pieces to collectors and private clients.

We also have our wonderful regular traders who have been saving up some stunning fashion and accessories for you. Deborah is bringing her amazing collection of vintage handbags which fly off the shelves at London Fashion Week; Kay and Margaret have gorgeous winter coats; Adrienne who specialises in Bakelite jewellery and accessories, will also be bringing some Vintage Jean Muir and Chanel (always sets my pulse racing!) adriennemary.com and Ginger Pigeon Vintage are back by popular demand.

Also debuting at the fair is Juliet’s Jewellery Box hosting a wonderful eclectic range of bygone jewellery and unique vintage accessories circa 1950’s.

Janice who used to help organise Zandra Rhodes’s fashion shows will be bringing one of Zandra’s vintage dressing gown.   Zandra was introduced to the world of fashion by her mother, a fitter for the Paris fashion House of Worth. After studying printed textile design Zandra opened her first shop in London in 1967. Two years later she was featured in American Vogue, sold in Henri Bendel and Fortnum and Mason and in 1972 was Designer of the Year and then Royal Designer for Industry in 1974. (zandrarhodes.com/biography/indexbiography.html) Janice is also bringing a Dior London 50’s ballerina length evening dress with beaded bodice and full skirt, some 60’s Gucci and 80’s Chanel.

Tanuja will be selling vintage dance purses and 1940-1950 cosmetic items from the USA; Jo who also sells at Columbia Road market will be selling her collection of enamelware, tins and china and Emily will be bringing some vintage baby clothes.

Maggie will be bringing 1950’s coats, 1960’s capes and 70’s maxis and Marianne will be bringing some fabulous art deco jewellery.

Alison from Comfort and Joy will be selling her collection of Vintage Christmas decorations – I buy a new one every year especially when I travel overseas so each of my tree decorations has a story which I have passed on to my son.

Of course apart from those featured you will also find:- scarves, shoes, gloves, deco lights, linen, haberdashery, vintage games, diamante jewellery, compacts, vintage prints, posters and ephemera, homeware and Brocante.

The vintage cafe is busy cooking home-made treats and will offer an array of delicious teas and coffee.

Terms & conditions of Trading

  • The Church and hall will be open from 8.00am on the Fair day for unloading of stock and setting up
  • Stallholders must be set up by 10.00am
  • Stalls that have been approved and booked cannot be shared /sold with/to a completely different dealer
  • All electrical items for sale or in use must be PAT tested
  • Highly flammable substances shall not be brought into or used in any part of the premises
  • No unauthorised heating appliances shall be used on the premises
  • No intoxicating liquors are permitted to be bought, sold or consumed on any part of the premises
  • Food is not permitted to be sold on any stalls
  • Cutlery may be sold, however sharp knives of any sort are not permitted
  • Tables must be fully covered with a cloth to the ground to hide any packing boxes and other items not for sale
  • Please do not affix anything to walls /doors or church property
  • Stallholders must not obstruct doorways, hallways and fire exits with tables or rails
  • Rails must not be longer than 6ft in length
  • The fair closes at 4.30 pm – stallholders should not dismantle their stall until closing time or leave the fair early. All stallholders must be clear of the halls by 6.00 pm
  • Stallholders are responsible for removing ALL their rubbish from the venue once the fair is closed
  • The organisers will bear no liability whatsoever for safety of stock, money, persons or possessions while travelling to, from or during the event
  • Stallholders are required to carry their own public liability insurance and must provide a copy to be held on file
  • As this is a vintage event with a dateline up to the 1990s, all goods for sale must be genuine vintage items. Sale of counterfeit items is strictly prohibited. The occasional sale of a more modern exclusive designer piece (e.g. Dior, Chanel) to offset a vintage item is permitted
  • Clothes must be clean and well presented
  • The venue is strictly no smoking, and the use of lit candles is prohibited
  • The positioning of Stallholders at the event is at the absolute discretion of the organisers
  • The placement of your stall may be subject to change and we cannot guarantee that you are in the same spot each time you sell at the fair
  • The organisers of the Wanstead Vintage Fair shall be under no liability for delay or failure to provide the services as a result of any act or circumstances beyond reasonable control including but not limited to, Act of God, legislation, injury, war, terrorism, fire, failure of power supply, strike, lock out or bad weather conditions
  • PLEASE NOTE: If a Trader cancels space, for any reason, all fees paid will be forfeited except under exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of the organiser
