See you at our next fair on Saturday 29th August 2026

Thirty Days Hath September

September may have 30 days but the 24th is the most important of them, when our next Wanstead Vintage Fashion & Brocante fair takes place. You’ll be pleased to know that we have some new stall holders who will be bringing their selections of Vintage Fashion, Accessories and Brocante along to Christchurch Hall.

Ginger Pigeon Vintage will be selling at the next fair

Naturally we will also have our wonderful regular sellers who have been sourcing all manner of goodies to entice you – July and August are big buying months with trips to Europe and around the UK, trying to find that must-have dress or those gorgeous earrings and handbag, not to mention the household items you love to buy or that interesting book on embroidery, gardening or baking.

Isn’t this booklet a hoot? Cake Making at High Altitudes – affects the cakes evidently!
We found this in America and it will be for sale in the Cafe Shop on the 24th.

Some of the autumn/winter trends will be crochet, handicraft, spots and circles, long gloves, furs, sequins, feathers and a push towards the 1940’s so pop on down to the fair where you’ll discover many of these trends in the items for sale.

Renee will be selling her amazing collection of haberdashery which she has collected over the years working as a costume designer at the film studios. She is bringing some of her vast collection of ribbons, braids, fringing, cords, sequins, gem stones, feathers and corsage flowers. They have all been used on various productions for TV, Film and theatre including the more recent Absolutely Fabulous, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Evita. She is also bringing along a collection of vintage packaging.

In the shoe department you’ll find some black leather Chelsea Cobbler platform courts, a pair of 1960’s gold leather shoes by Elliot Jeunesse for Bally (a pair of his shoes were recently auctioned by Bonhams), some bright perspex florals and pretty blue silk evening shoes with bow, to mention a few.

Here are some other items that will be for sale at the fair – will show you some more gorgeous fashion nearer the time as dealers are hesitant to give me pictures when there’s many weeks to go in case they sell it at another fair – then that wouldn’t be fair – would it?
