The Wanstead Vintage Christmas Fair

On 6th December 2014 Wanstead Vintage Fashion & Brocante Fair  will open the doors to a wonderful array of vintage festive goodies, vintage party outfits and accessories, to be the envy at any Christmas party you may be attending, not to mention an array of Christmas presents that will ‘check-off’ everyone on your list in a one-stop-shop Christmas shopping spectacular.

David and Frances are bringing a super collection of Vintage Christmas Decorations and ephemera. They scour the French countryside for the unusual and always bring a few surprises!

Scarves and long gloves are definitely back on the radar along with a corsage or vintage brooch – there will be plenty of these at the fair.

JBDLondon have been selling antique and period jewellery for over 18 years to both trade and private clients, including some well-known celebrities! They have a spectacular collection of jewels including earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings, brooches and other interesting antiquities dating from the Victorian era to the 1960’s.  You will be sure to find that perfect piece and plenty of tempting gifts for your friends too.

Karina from Ginger Pigeon Vintage will be bringing her 1960’s and 70’s dresses and accessories.  We love this green dress which would make a fabulous party number.

And talking of green – we have Lindsay debuting at the fair with her amazing collection of early plastics and Bakelite kitchen items and bric-a-brac dating from 1940-1960s – be sure to visit her stall. These pieces are a piece of history.

Jim and Jo are also debuting at the fair with a collection of mid century paintings, prints and ceramics.  They have been trading for over 15 years and also sell at Spitalfields market. I adore these French oil paintings.

Alison is bringing her wonderful collection of vintage designer clothes and accessories including this 1960’s Pierre Cardin op-art colour block dress. An iconic eye-catching piece from the master of 60’s design.

Another new stallholder Stefanie from Fraubraun Vintage Fashion lovingly sources garments from the 1930s to the modern era. Selling at prestigious events she is also a curator of historical photography.  Here’s a gorgeous Pucci silk blouse, in pristine condition, probably 1960s, that would look fabulous with a simple pair of black trousers. Also on trend for Spring 2015 colours.

And at the end of the day when you’ve got home and put the kettle on – slip on these 1940’s American slippers, from Mel’s stall, and peruse all your lovely goodies. I’m sure you’ll be delighted!

We are also delighted to announce that Keri will be available to style your hair in a stunning ‘up-do’ or vintage style. Passionate about art and hair she combines the two to make styling hair an art.  If you wish to pre-book an appointment 10.00 am – 4.00 pm then please call her on 07960 872 639.  She can even do a Christmas Bow!
