See you at our next fair on Saturday 29th August 2026

What’s in Store for 9th March?

We are bringing you a fabulous line-up of vintage purveyors for the March 9th Wanstead Vintage Fashion & Brocante Fair.  The fair is the day before Mother’s Day so there will be all manner of one-off, unique vintage presents to buy for your mother, and of course wonderful vintage fashions and accessories for you and retro home items for your home.  We will have a display of black and white photographs of mothers through the decades in the foyer and a ‘To Mother with Love’ stall.

Here are just a few of the stallholders who will be presenting their wares on Saturday 9th March.

Brocant Antique will be making their first appearance at the Wanstead fair.  Ramon and Gary source unusual and quirky items from markets in France, Holland and England.  They say they “source anything that will look fantastic in the home”.  Items range from crystal glass, clocks, small furniture, sculpture and homewares.  The more “weird and unusual the better”.

Deborah Bullman, who used to sell at the antique market in Camden Passage is bringing sought after vintage items with known provenance. I will certainly be queuing at her stall as she is offering Hermes Scarves from the 1960s to 1980s, Kenneth Jay Lane and Chanel costume jewellery along with hand-made (by Fortnum & Mason) men’s crocodile shoes, Mappin & Webb and Gucci handbags and silk ties and suits for men.

“Women of all ages love costume jewelry because it’s fun, its fashionable, and it makes woman feel younger.”

Joshua Rahman is selling a collection of quirky brocante items – his home is stuffed full of wonderful vintage items but sadly he is now selling all of his vintage collection and looking forward to meeting other vintage enthusiasts  so he can take comfort that his items will be cherished by new owners for years to come! He will be offering such things as a hand written letter from 1894, a collection of vintage umbrellas, bound volumes of Harpers Magazine from the 1880s and photos and ephemera.

We are also excited to announce for the first time we will have a Pocillovist at the fair.

Pocillovy is the name given to the hobby of collecting egg cups and if you collect them you are a Pocillovist.  Michelle and David, husband and wife team known as Eggcuppery (see blog on Eggcuppery) are egg cup collectors, turned sellers and will be presenting antique and vintage egg cups ranging from Victorian ceramic and art deco, through to plastic 60s and 70s egg cups featuring numerous characters from Andy Pandy to vintage Spiderman. They have more than 2000 in their collection and will be bringing a selection that includes 1960s wooden European cups, Japanese sets and makers such as Mason’s, Spode, Royal Doulton, Mintons and Carlton Ware.
